Ceramicist David Smith has been making clay copitas for us for years. When I spent Fourth of July with him recently, I brought with me some jicaras to drink from. David was fascinated by the shape and … well, the result is this new clay copita for our store — one we’re calling a jicarita to distinguish it from the conical copitas he makes. Each holds at least 2 ounces, some up to 3 ounces. The price is $20.00 per jicarita — don’t expect to get the whole stack you see in the pics.
