(Found Objects) In January of this year, I attended the 5th National Maestros del Mezcal A.C. event in Mexico City. It was a great gathering of terrific producers! One, from Sola de Vega, had his table covered in these beautiful copitas. I snatched them all up, got the details about the artist who made them, then lost that note while tasting someone else’s spirits. Such is the way my festival-attendance often goes. Each measures about 2” high by 1.75” in diameter and holds around 1.5 ounces.
