Artist Dani Eizirik visited Oaxaca, Mexico, from his native Brazil in 2012, and was moved by the country. When he returned in 2017, so much had changed, especially around the production of traditional agave spirits. The international interest in mezcal had started to change the landscape. So Dani took to rural Oaxaca to visit five families involved in the production of heirloom agave spirits, to document what their world looks like, through words and art. The result is this beautiful, 128-page, handmade book, published by Rezpiral and Riacho.me. It includes both Spanish and English.
